Guess Who and Mindfulness HOW — Don’t Judge
This month’s game is a variant of the classic game Guess Who. To play, you’ll either need a physical copy of the game or an online version. We recommend playguesswho.net since it’s easy to use.
If you’re playing online, you can either use the “Create Game” function with two screens, or you can use the “Local Pass & Play” function to share one screen.
Play two games of Guess Who. For your first game, use the normal rules of the game*. For your second game, add the following rule:
You cannot ask questions about anything you can directly observe, such as physical features. You may only ask questions that make assumptions, such as “Is this person kind?” or “Does this person like to watch sports?”
Answers must still be yes or no.
After your second game, notice how it felt to make these assumptions and if they led to any miscommunications during your game. Consider how this might apply to real-life situations where we make judgments about other people.
*Rules are included either in your physical copy or at playguesswho.net/how-to-play
